The library is the "coolest" place to be if you are looking for some place to "beat the heat" this summer. Come in to check out the "hot" new releases to read or maybe even look for some winter-themed movies to watch.

New adult fiction titles available at the Monett Branch Library include: "The Storm at the Door" by Stefan Block; "Once Upon a River" by Bonnie Jo Campbell; "Heartland Skies" by Melody Carlson; "Witches of East End" by Melissa de la Cruz; "Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Dominion" by Eric Lustbader; "The Creed Legacy" by Linda Lael Miller; "Vigilante" by Robin Parrish; "A Secret Rage" by Charlaine Harris; and "Vision Impossible" by Victoria Laurie.

New non-fiction titles include: "Mind Games" by Michael Powell; "The Paradox of Choice" by Barry Schwartz; "Inside Scientology" by Janet Reitman; "Police Procedure & Investigation" by Lee Loftland; "Portrait of a Monster" by Lisa Beth Pulitzer; "The Pirates of Somalia" by Jay Bahadur; "The Special Needs Parent Handbook" by Jonathan Singer; "The Predator Next Door: Detect, Protect, and Recover from Betrayal" by Darlene Ellison.

New youth titles include: "The Final Hour" by Andrew Klavan; "Blaze of Glory" by Michael Pryor; "Horrid Henry Rocks" by Francesca Simon; "Forever" by Maggie Stiefvater; and "Fashioned by Faith" by Rachel Lee Carter.

New DVDs include: Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, America, the Story of Us, and Magnum P.I.: The Complete Second Season.
