Shirley O'Hara retired from Schreiber Foods on July 13. At a celebration lunch enjoyed by plant partners, Plant Manager Dan Swearingen presented a watch to O'Hara honoring her for 34 years of service with Schreiber Foods. She was a member of the original crew that helped start up the Monett plant facility. O'Hara began her career with Schreiber Foods on Dec. 3, 1975. She worked as a wrapper operator until 1977 and then took a position in the lab as a technician. In March of 2003, she started her final position with Schreiber Foods in quality assurance. O'Hara made many contributions to Schreiber Foods through her commitment and high standards for producing quality products for customers. In her retirement, she plans to travel, garden, camp, fish and spend time with her grandchildren. "Schreiber Foods would like to wish Shirley the very best in enjoying her retirement," said Swearingen.
