Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 07/22/11

Haying is virtually complete across much of the state.  Some areas are 
in the 2nd cutting of alfalfa and others are trying to work through 
their 3rd cut, even as the high temperatures slow the crop down. Weather
is having an obvious, and detrimental, impact on pastures now
with conditions changing rapidly.  Little rain is expected across 
the state and temperatures will remain very high. Supply moderate and 
demand light. Hay prices remain steady.
