The Dorcas Ladies Aid met on July 7 at the Trinity Lutheran School fellowship hall in Freistatt. The meeting was called to order by Ruth Bremer, vice president. She welcomed 16 members and one guest.
The worship entitled "Beauty in God's World" was presented by Marge Harris. The song "America, the Beautiful" was sung, accompanied by Nadine Obermann, pianist.
Lena Bremer conducted the Mite Box ingathering followed by a prayer for missionaries. The group sang "Open Now the Gates of Beauty."
Dorothy Osterloh gave a Bible study from a quarterly entitled "How to Be Green," followed by the reading of several Bible verses.
Correspondence was read, the offering was taken and a card was signed for Anne and Earl Telschow's 50th anniversary.
The business meeting was held, and committee reports were presented. It was announced that the next mission committee work day will be held on Sept. 19. The ladies with July birthdays were Janice Meyer, Esther Holle and Gloria Krueger.
