The Pierce City High School football team will host a summer football camp from 6 to 8 p.m. July 25 through July 29 at Don Keebaugh Stadium in Pierce City. On Friday, July 29, the varsity football team will host a peewee football camp for kindergarten through sixth grade players from 6 to 7 p.m. The camp is free.

Rebel's Bluff Troup will present "Barbecuing Hamlet" by Pat Cook on Aug. 5, 6 and 7 at the First Christian Church of Mt. Vernon. Proceeds will benefit the Hope Center in Mt. Vernon. On Aug. 5 and 6 there will be a dinner theatre at 6:30 p.m. for $20. The show only will be held at 8 p.m. for $10. The dinner will be catered by Maggie Mae's.
