Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 07/15/11

Friday, July 15, 2011

Much of the 2011 hay crop is coming in slightly ahead of our average schedule,
with grass hays over 80 percent complete. Temperatures remain above
average, with much of the state in excessive heat warnings early in
the week and expected to return for the weekend As expected with the weather,
and for the time of year, our pasture conditions are beginning to deteriorate
as less than 60 percent is now in good or excellent condition.
Supply moderate and demand light. Hay prices remain steady.
