The Pleasant Ridge Special Road District will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 18 at the Pleasant Ridge School House. The meeting is open to the public.

Monett Mighty Mites Football and Cheerleader sign-ups for the 2011 season will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15 and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 16 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett, located at Seventh and Cale Streets. The programs are open to children in third through sixth grades. Sign-up fee is $50 for the first child and $40 for each additional child. Parents are asked to bring a copy of the child's birth certificate to the sign-up, and players are required to have a current physical. For more information, call 235-9700 or 669-5546.

Reavisville First Baptist Church, located on Highway TT, will be holding Pandamania Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 24 through Thursday, July 28. Registration begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information or for a ride, call Lynda at 235-9803.

Rebel's Bluff Troup will present "Barbecuing Hamlet" by Pat Cook on Aug. 5, 6 and 7 at the First Christian Church of Mt. Vernon. Proceeds will benefit the Hope Center in Mt. Vernon. On Aug. 5 and 6 there will be a dinner theatre at 6:30 p.m. for $20. The show only will be held at 8 p.m. for $10. The dinner will be catered by Maggie Mae's. On Aug. 7, there will be a show only held at 2 p.m. for $10. For ticket information, call 417-466-2985. Tickets for the show only can be bought at the door. Reservations are required for the dinner theatre by Aug. 1.

A rabies clinic, sponsored by the Animal Clinic of Monett and the Pierce City Police Department, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 16 at Pierce City South Park. The cost for the shot will be $7.50. Each person having their pet vaccinated will have their name put in a drawing for a gift card from Town and Country Supermarket in Pierce City.

Al-Anon will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays at the First Baptist Church in Pierce City, located one-quarter mile north on Highway 97. Those attending can enter through the west wing. For more information, call 417-476-5721.

The Ozarks Prairie Presbyterian Brick Church will host an old-fashioned ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 10. The church is located at 15032 Lawrence 2077, five miles north and east of Mt. Vernon. For more information, call 417-466-3572.

The Shell Knob Lions Club will host a community dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on July 23 at the Shell Knob Community Building. The event will feature Evelyn Lock and the Outriders Country Band.
