Blood drive attracted 41 donors

Forty-one people donated blood at the June American Red Cross blood drive held at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett.

Donna Beckett, bloodmobile chairman, noted four-gallon marks were reached. Among those receiving gallon pins were: Kristine Johnson and Mary Mechele Tharp, one gallon; Randy Kristek and Judy Kitchen, two gallons; Kristine Shanks, three gallons; and Gorden Renfro, 14 gallons. First time donors were: James Case, Susan Case, Deanna Warren and Loyd Ridenour.

Schreiber Foods provided cheese during the drive, and Ramey Supermarket provided the orange juice.

Those donating blood included: Sammie Dalton, Marlene Mareth, Philip Greer, Eileen Greer, Kristine Shanks, Madeline Ceselski, Karen Brosi, Rebecca Brown, Ronnie Veith, Betty Moss, Robert Mareth, Mary Tharp, Ina Brown, Jeff James, Wilma Stoll, Mark Nelson, Emma Ruscha, Donald Swanson, Jeffrey Gates, Susan Case.

The next blood drive will be held on Aug. 22 at New Site Baptist Church of Monett.
