Broadway Nights returns on Friday with shopping during extended hours and live entertainment in downtown Monett.
Stores will be open until 7 p.m. offering sales on summer items. Brownsberger's and Peppers and Company are beginning their summer markdowns. Fashion Crossroads has a window display of red, white and blue items and in-store discounts on various colors.
Bruner's Pharmacy has expanded shopping options with a half-price sale on photo albums, gift bags and gift wrap. Denali Dreams will have an ice cream special.
Beginning at 7 p.m., live music will start in the coffee houses. Mocha Jo's will host the Allan Phillips Band. Denali Dreams will feature multi-instrumentalist Gino Gebelin, from Mindenmines, who combines his playing skills with an electric repeater to make the sound of a one-man band while retaining acoustic flavor.
Broadway organizer Shaun Bennett said upcoming Broadway Nights will feature an overstock sale by the Cox Monett Hospital Auxiliary of gift items and a craft show in September.
Broadway Nights is planned to encourage an old-fashioned night on the town, socializing and discovering new shopping opportunities. The event is held the second Friday of the month, with larger activities held each quarter.
