Water Thrashers shine at Nevada

The Monett Water Thrashers sent 21 swimmers to the Nevada Neptunes Invitational over the holiday weekend.

Matthew Bahl won two golds and a silver for Monett, and Megan Johnson collected seven silver medals to lead the Thrashers in points with 35.

Tyler Bass won the boys 15-18 50 free and also earned a pair of silver medals and a bronze, while Phillip Roller took silver in the boys 15-18 200 free. Lauren Bass earned a silver and two bronze medals in the Girls 13-14 division.

Daniel Addleman earned silver medals in both the boys 11-12 50 fly and 50 breast.

The Water Thrashers travel this weekend to the Missouri Swim Aquatics Invitational Swim Meet in Springfield. The meet starts at 9 a.m Saturday at Foster's Natatorium.
