The Monett City Council approved the proposal to make Fourth Street a one-way northbound between Front Street and Broadway in a special session on Tuesday.
No comments were presented in opposition to the proposal, which will enable Bruner's Pharmacy to install a drive-through window on Fourth Street. One person, Dr. Ralph Scott, spoke in favor of the plan.
According to City Administrator Dennis Pyle, implementation of the one-way will not be made until the change is needed. Construction has not begun at the pharmacy and arrangements for an easement over the existing sidewalk have not yet been made. Pyle said street signage will be installed when the change implemented.
