Seven different swimmers won gold medals for the Thrashers: William Bloss, Jansen Carr, Matthew Childress, Keeley Finch, Grant Oganesyvan, Ethan Prine, and Gina Verhoff,
"I was very pleased and proud of all of our swimmers this weekend," said WatherThrashers Coach Christin Janssen. "With not even two full weeks of practice, most of the swimmers met or exceeded their best times from last year."
There was plenty of silver and bronze in the Thrashers war chest too, as Janssen's swimmers were competitive in all age groups, distances, and strokes.
Jannsen was excited about the technical excellence of her young charges at the Carthage meet.
"Their stroke technique has quickly caught up to where we left off last year. We are already moving forward, and look like we never even took nine months off," she reported. "It is very exciting to see them improve, excel and even exceed their own expectations only a couple of weeks in. The season will only get better as we continue training and get more comfortable in the water."
|Grant Oganesyvan was the high scorer for the Thrashers with 43 individual points. Besides winning the boys 15-18 50 back,||Oganesyvan claimed second place in four other events.|
