Local youth bound for Boys State

Bi-county delegates have been selected to attend the 72nd session of Missouri Boys State, a project of the American Legion. Boys State provides a week-long civics exercise in how government works.

Delegates for city, county and state governments learn skills through workshops, campaign for office and hear speakers of national renown from both the public and private sectors. Boys State will be held June 11 through June 18 at Central Missouri University in Warrensburg.

Also named to represent bi-county organizations are: Nathan Wolf, of Purdy; Ryan Roark, of Verona; Dalton Brown and Tyler Barnes, both of Mt. Vernon; Timothy Hay, Ryan Tate, Kyle Haley and Johnathan Lindeman, alternate, of Aurora; Zachary Musick, Camryn Wilson, Gage Holloway, Michael Bruxvoort, Joseph Campbell and Wil LeCompte, all of Cassville; and Forest Delozier, of Marionville.
