A Summer Reading Club event was held on June 8. A guest from Wonders of Wildlife presented a program entitled "Native Niches." The program was about the relationships between animals found in various ecosystems such as the tropical rainforest and the Australian dessert.
|Several copies of the book "First Lessons in Beekeeping" by Keith S. Delaplane were recently donated to the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library by the Southern Missouri Beekeepers of Monett. Branches owning copies of this book are Aurora, Cassville, Marionville, Monett, Mt. Vernon and Pierce City.|

New children's titles include: "Cars 2 the Essential Guide" by Steve Bynghall; "Charlie the Ranch Dog" by Ree Drummond; "Little White Rabbit" by Kevin Henkes; and "Interrupting Chicken" by David Ezra Stein.
