The Harold Bell Wright Museum, located at 404 Walnut in Pierce City, has reopened. The museum hours are 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Thursdays.

The annual Purdy Livestock Show and Festival will be held on Saturday, July 9. In addition to a livestock show, the event will offer business booths and concessions. For more information, call 417-291-5819.

The 121st annual Trinity Lutheran Church picnic in Freistatt will be held on Friday, June 10. The picnic is sponsored by the church and will be held on the grounds behind Trinity Lutheran School. Serving will begin at 6 p.m. There will be games for all ages, a country store, bake sale and rides for the children. Entertainment will feature former Trinity alumnus, Liz Moriondo. In the event of rain, the picnic will be held on June 11.

To date, 170 names of Armed Forces veterans from Purdy have been gathered for the veterans memorial for the new community garden/park in Purdy. According to project coordinator, Chelsea Eagan, space will be left to add more names as they become available. For more information on the project, call Eagan at 417-522-0023.

The former employees of Anderson Uniforms, of Mt. Vernon, will hold their annual summer reunion beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 in the Gary Ewing Park, located off of Highway 174 in Mt. Vernon. The third annual Mustang Mania car show will be held on June 11 at Oak Park in Aurora, located on Business Highway 60. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $15 on the day of the show or $12 before June 3. For more information, contact the Aurora Chamber of Commerce at 417-678-4150.

St. Mary's 24th annual old-fashioned festival will be held on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church grounds in Pierce City. Mass on Saturday begins at 4 p.m., and the festival starts at 5 p.m. Mass on Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m., and the festival begins at 11 a.m.

Area residents are invited to attend the opening of the Pierce City Farmer's Market beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until noon on Saturday, June 4 on Commercial Street in downtown Pierce City.

The Monett Kiwanis Club will host a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 at the American Legion Home, located at 717 E. Broadway. Proceeds will go toward children's programs.
