A reception was held Friday for Ann Hall, retiring president of First State Bank of Purdy., at the Monett branch. Hall shared stories and reminisced with long-time friends and past employees throughout the day. Above, Hall, at left, chatted with Sarah and John Woodard. Dignitaries coming to Monett to express their sentiments to Hall included Max Cook, president and chief executive officer of the Missouri Bankers Association, from Kansas City, and Rachael Preston, marketing and membership director for the Missouri Bankers Association. On May 22, bank owners Glen and Sharon Garrett and the staff hosted a surprise retirement dinner for Hall at the First United Methodist Church in Monett that included a mini-roast and singing by Bob Hubbard.
