Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 5/27/11

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Historically the past week and upcoming week are quite possibility two
of the busiest weeks for baling hay in the state as many producers take
advantage of the long holiday weekend and head to hay fields. Wet and cool
conditions however have prevented much hay from being baled so far this year
and currently most fields are much too soft to travel over. Hay prices are
steady. Supply moderate and demand of hay light. Missouri Department of
Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers. To
be listed, or for a directory, visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ or
