St. John's Regional Medical Center clinical co-workers are asked to report to Memorial Hall in Joplin at their regularly scheduled work times. Non-clinical co-workers are not needed to report to work at this time unless otherwise notified. If co-workers have not already done so, they are asked to call 1-888-98-MERCY to account for their safety and needs.

Bob and Kathy Hogenmiller will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 28 at the Aurora Community Center, located on 40 W. Church St. in Aurora. The event will be hosted by their children.

An Ozark music show will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at the Monett City Park Casino. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 for adults, and the event is free for children ages 10 and under. Proceeds will go toward traditional Ozark music.

The annual meeting of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 in the Mt. Pleasant Church. The meeting is open to the public.

The Olivet-Boucher Family Cemetery Association will hold its annual Memorial Day meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 29 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, located at 5422 Lawrence 2180. A picnic lunch will be held preceding the meeting. For more information, call 417-285-6065.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29 at the Zion Memorial Cemetery. A basket dinner will be held at noon with the service to begin at 1:30 p.m. Bob Fairis will be the guest speaker. St. Mary's 24th annual old-fashioned festival will be held on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church grounds in Pierce City. Mass on Saturday begins at 4 p.m., and the festival starts at 5 p.m. Mass on Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m., and the festival begins at 11 a.m.

The Shoeboxes for Soldiers July Fourth collection campaign is underway and will continue through June 4. Area residents can deliver their packages and donations at the following drop-off sites: the Pierce City National Guard Armory; the Monett National Guard Armory; UMB Bank on Broadway in Monett; The Bayou restaurant in Monett; and the Monett American Legion (Tuesdays only from 1 to 4 p.m.).

The former employees of Anderson Uniforms, of Mt. Vernon, will hold their annual summer reunion beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 in the Gary Ewing Park, located off of Highway 174 in Mt. Vernon. Area residents are invited to attend the opening of the Pierce City Farmer's Market beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until noon on Saturday, June 4 on Commercial Street in downtown Pierce City.
