The Monett FFA will be joining the community-wide effort to help the victims of Sunday's tornado in the Joplin area. They will have a table set up at Walmart to collect donations. They will be there from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 to collect supplies for those affected.
Supplies needed include: bottled water; baby formula; baby wipes; diapers; canned or nonperishable foods; shampoo; toothpaste; toothbrushes; blankets; pillows; and adult and children clothes of all sizes.
Financial and monetary donations are welcome. All items will go directly to families and victims of th Joplin Tornado. Jared Childress, Monett FFA president, said the Monett FFA and community would like to help them the way they did when the May 4, 2003, tornado struck and affected Pierce City and rural Monett.
