A Marionville woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:38 a.m. yesterday.
The wreck occurred on Highway AA and Owen Road one mile west of Nixa when the driver of a 1999 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, Kaleb W. Davis, 28, of Marionville, pulled into the path of a 2008 Cadillac, driven by Jerry D. Long, 64, of Nixa.
A passenger of the Long vehicle, Marilyn Long, 64, of Nixa, was taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. All of the parties involved were wearing their seat belts.
* A second crash at 7:50 a.m. yesterday resulted in three people being taken to a Springfield hospital. The crash occurred on Highway 97 two miles south of Stotts City when the driver of a 1993 Mitsubishi 300 GT, Christ-opher D. Seymour, 17, of Stotts City, lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the road, into a ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle then overturned. The driver and two occupants in the car, Stormey J. Harain, 14, and Mariah L. Degonia, 10, both of Stotts City, were all taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with minor injuries.
* A two-vehicle crash at 7:05 p.m. yesterday left three people injured. The crash occurred on Farm Road 2240 two miles south of Aurora when the driver of a 2003 Ford F150, Dana L. Sanchez, 46, of Galena, collided with the back of a 1996 Saturn, driven by Alisha A. Evans, 29, of Galena. Both vehicles travelled off the side of the road and into a fence. A passenger in the Sanchez vehicle, Linda D. Pettit, 64, of Galena, was taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt. Two occupants in the Evans's vehicle, Brian Evans, 29, and Stephanie F. Sanchez, 15, both of Galena, received minor to moderate injuries in the crash and were taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Springfield. All of the occupants in the Evans' vehicle were wearing seat belts.
* A Verona woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck that took place Monday on Farm Road 2010 two miles south of Verona. The wreck occurred when the driver of a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire, Tammra L. Wirth, 34, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Wirth was transported to St. John's Hospital-Aurora with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.
