The 24th annual St. Mary's Old-Fashioned Festival will be held on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 in Pierce City on the church grounds. On Saturday, festival activities will begin at 5 p.m. and on Sunday, the celebration begins at 11 a.m.
There will be inflatable bouncers for children and a beer garden for adults on both days along with trash and treasure booths, a country store, a purse and jewelry auction and several food stands offering funnel cakes, hamburgers, sausage and fancy fried spiral potatoes.
On Saturday night, festival goers can dance to the music of DJ David Jones, who will perform from 7 to 10 p.m.
Chicken or beef dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Adult dinners are $7, and children's dinners are $3. Children under 6 eat for free, and handicapped seating is available.
On Sunday bingo will begin at 12:30 p.m. and duck races on the creek will begin at 4 p.m. Other activities on Sunday include: a Boot Kickers demonstration from 5 to 6 p.m.; children's games; a cake walk; and homemade ice cream.
A drawing will be held for a $1,000 cash prize. The winner will be announced at 8 p.m. on Sunday and need not be present to win.
In conjunction with the event, mass will be offered at 4 p.m. on Saturday and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
