The Monett Cubs baseball team fell 10-4 to Logan-Rogersville on Thursday night.
"Our pitching was really good tonight," said Monett Coach Michael Calhoun. "We made a couple of errors in the field that allow four unearned runs to score and that was the difference."
The Cubs scored three runs in their first at bat.
With two outs, Marcus Enloe reached on a fielder's choice and scored on Jesse Bremer's double. Marcus McCaffrey then hit a two-run home run over the left field fence.
The Wildcats countered with two runs in both the second and third innings, and then added three runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
"We need to focus on district and put this game behind us," said Calhoun. "I think we will be ready come Saturday."
Jake Smith went two for two with an RBI for the Cubs. Bremer finished two for three with a double and an RBI.
Monett will be in action Saturday against Lamar. First pitch is set for 12:30 p.m.
