The Monett tennis team's season came to an end in the semi-finals of district competition on Tuesday with a 5-4 loss to Thomas Jefferson.

"It's always disappointing when your season comes to a conclusion," said Monett Coach Bob Crain. "We are graduating five of our top six players. We will have a lot of work to do in the off-season."

Picking up victories in the singles competition were: Shane George, Chris Trout and Caleb McCurry.

In doubles play, Trout and McCurry prevailed.

Monett finished the season 5-2 in dual matches and won the Monett tournament.
