A benefit spaghetti and auction will be held at 5 p.m. at the Crane Community Center. Proceeds will go toward increasing the reward in the efforts to locate the missing Willard couple, Rebecca and Rusty Porter.

Andrew Schlup will be performing a senior piano recital at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13 at the Pierce City First Baptist Church worship center, located on Highway 97 north.

Silver Teens will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at the Monett Senior Center, located on Dairy Street, to car pool for supper at Lambert's in Springfield. For more information, call 235-9978.

The Hospice Compassus staff will be hosting a memorial service honoring loved ones from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at the Aurora First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, located at 39 W. Pleasant St. Those attending are invited to bring a photograph of a loved one for the memory table.

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at the Barry County Museum, located on Highway 112 south of Cassville. The guest speaker will be Ted Hillmer, Wilson's Creek National Battlefield junior superintendent. Hillmer is also a member of the Missouri Governor's Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission. The meeting is open to the public.

Deaf Friends will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at Cassville Community Support Services, located at 211 E. Fifth St. For more information, call 1-479-263-6075.

The city of Fairview will have a city-wide garage sale on Saturday, May 14. There will be food and drinks available at the Hammons Center and live music during the evening.

The Freistatt Village Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at the Freistatt Community Building.

A spaghetti dinner will be held at the Hobbs Anderson American Legion Hall in Monett at 717 E. Broadway from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 19. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are available. Proceeds go toward the Legion youth programs.

A book and garage sale will be held at the Monett Branch Library, located at 213 Sixth St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 3 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4. An early bird sale will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 for Friends of the Library group members in the library district. The sale is sponsored by the Monett Friends of the Library group to raise matching dollars for the Gates Foundation Grant. The funds will help with the purchase of new computers for all branches of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library.

The Aurora Eagles will hold its first annual arts and craft festival on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 on the Eagles grounds, located at the Highway K and ZZ intersection two miles north of Aurora. For more information, call 417-861-0213.
