The dinner to honor cancer survivors hosted by the Monett Relay for Life was held Friday at the First United Methodist Church. Around 75 survivors plus their chaperones were expected for the occasion. In addition to the dinner, Helen Ruscha, one of the co-organizers with Ema Fae Ruscha, read an uplifting poem. Grant's restaurant donated the food, and Tyson Foods provided the chicken. Committee and team captains brought salads. This year's Relay for Life will be held on Saturday, May 21 at the Monett High School football field. [Times Photo by Murray Bishoff]
