Monett's Jacob Fair advanced to the Missouri State Championship golf tournament with a third place finish, shooting even-par at the sectional tournament at Marshfield.
Fair shot a four-over par 39 on the front nine holes, but birdied the last four holes of the contest to reach even-par for the day.
"He is a gifted athlete," said Monett Head Coach Derrek Uhl. "He is just a competitor."
Travis Thompson recorded an 83 and Devin Steward shot an 84 for the Cubs.
"I know both Devin and Travis are disappointed," said Uhl. "They both had a great year. Winning a conference championship and placing in every tournament was something very special for these guys."
The state tournament will be held at the Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar on May 15 and 16.
