Two women from northwest Arkansas were hurt in a two-vehicle crash shortly after 7 a.m. today by the Monett Municipal Airport.
Monett firefighters were called for extrication at 7:11 a.m. today. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound car on Highway 97 was crossing Highway 60 when it was struck broadside by a westbound 2005 Ford F450 truck.
Monett firefighters reported a passenger in the car, the younger sister of the driver, was airlifted for the Monett airport after she was extricated from the car. Jessica Heston, 19, of Holiday Island, Ark., was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
Andy Morris, 37, of Harlington, Texas, and his passenger were not injured.

* Two Aurora men were hurt in a single vehicle crash at 1 a.m. today one mile west of Nixa on Highway 14. Randy Carvale, 36, was driving west in a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville when the car travelled off the right side of the roadway. Carvale over-corrected, causing the car to travel off the left side of the road, where it struck a tree. Shawn Ryan, 42, a passenger in the car, received serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Cox Hospital South in Springfield. Carvale received minor injuries and refused treatment.
