The popular event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour followed by a delicious Italian meal prepared by Geraldi's in Cassville at 6 p.m. To showcase the theme, students have created life-size portraits of themselves as rock stars with musical instruments that will be used as decorations.
Another highlight of the evening will be a live auction featuring a series of handmade quilts created by each St. Lawrence class with the assistance of Kelly Verstraete and Al and Marion Dohmen. Other auction items include a lawn mover, a violin, a bench, a one night stay in Tunica, themed gift baskets and original artwork from local artists Geri Carey and Ann Marie Rausch. In addition to the quilts, students have also made blankets and aprons for the auction.
The evening will conclude with a dance from 8 to 11 p.m. featuring Tequila, Lime, No Salt, an acoustic trio offering a mix of country, rock and blues. The band is known for its hard-driving acoustic rhythms, impressive three-part harmonies and blues harmonica.
Tickets are $20 per person or $40 per couple, and all who attend the banquet will be entered in a drawing for a vacation experience. To obtain a ticket, call the school office at 235-3721.
