Members of St. Mary's Catholic Church and School will host a spaghetti dinner and art show beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 in the church gymnasium in Pierce City.
The dinner will feature spaghetti, salad, beverages and St. Mary's famous homemade cinnamon rolls.
The art show and drawing will get underway at 7 p.m. with art from students in kindergarten through eighth grade on display.
"This is the first year that we have had an art program," said Shelly Stellwagen, one of the event organizers. "The kids are very excited to be able to show their work from throughout the year."
Stellwagen said the program is under the volunteer tutelage of Michelle Bacarisse, of Pierce City. Students have been working with a variety of mediums throughout the year. Chances to win a quilt, signed by students, will also offered.
Select pieces of student art will also be auctioned.
"Proceeds from the event will benefit the school," Stellwagen said. "We hope the community turns out to enjoy what we hope becomes an annual event."
