Angel Food Ministry will take orders for May from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 700 Sycamore in Monett. Payment must be made at the time the order is placed. The cost of a box is $30 and can be paid with cash, money order or food stamps.

Monett Legion baseball tryouts will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at Monett North Park. In case of rain, the tryouts will be rescheduled to 2 p.m. on May 7.

Silver teens will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at the Monett Senior Center on Dairy Street to car pool for supper at Bootleggers in Aurora. For more information, call Pennie at 235-9978.

An infant bereavement class will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 2 at Cox Monett Hospital. The class will be held in conference room C, located on the third floor of the hospital. Registration is required for the class. For more information or to register, call 354-1409.

The Arnhart Cemetery Association will hold its annual clean-up meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. Volunteers are needed to move dirt, straighten stones and remove debris. Those attending are asked to bring hand tools. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on May 14.

The Monett Senior Center will host a dance at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 2. The center is located at 405 Dairy St. The band will be the Funtimers, and admission is $3. Finger foods are welcome.

The Cassville Middle School FCCLA club will be at Cassville Walmart from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. The students and canine greeters will have a list of supplies needed to help care for the homeless pets that reside at Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary. The students regularly visit and work with the pets.

The Barry County Area Retired School Personnel will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Monett. The speaker will be Doug Wallner, of Arc of the Ozarks.

The Purdy R-2 School District will host a free luncheon for all senior citizens at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30 in the school cafeteria. Purdy students will participate in part of the cooking, program design, serving, decorations and entertainment. Door prizes will be awarded. Reservations are requested but not required. Transportation will be available upon request. The menu will include: baked chicken, roast, potatoes, vegetables, hot rolls, dessert and drinks. The Wheaton Historical Society will meet for 7 p.m. on Monday, May 2 at the Train Depot Museum, located at the end of Main Street in Wheaton. There will be discussions of all the 1960s class reunions that have been scheduled for July 9, which will be the same day as the fireman's barbecue.
