Pair of area crashes leave two people hurt

A Cassville man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Monday on Highway 248 four miles east of Cassville.

The crash occurred when the driver of a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer, Dale K. Newby, 57, slid off the roadway and struck a fence.

Newby was transported by private vehicle to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

A Marionville man was injured in a single-vehicle accident that took place at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday on Highway 39 three miles south of Aurora.

The crash occurred when the driver if a 1997 Toyota 4-Runner, Tampas J. Wallace, 30, traveled off the roadway and struck a building.

Wallace was taken to St. John's Hospital-Aurora with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
