According to The Des Moines Register, Kemin is acquiring American Dehydrated's Verona South spray-dried meat and digest facility and its research facilities. American Dehydrated will retain the Verona North plant and other facilities.

Kemin Industries is privately held and says it has 11 independent companies and serves five industries in more than 60 countries. Its products include pet-food flavorings and other pet products.
