Springfield-Springfield Livestock Marketing Center: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 4/25/2011

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold steady. Receipts were curtailed today by heavy rains
over the weekend that continued today. Flooding and flash flooding caused
many roads to be impassable with several highways closed. The supply of bred
cows and cow/calf pairs was very light with most of the offering going to
slaughter. Supply was light and demand moderate to good for slaughter
classes.
