Benchmark Healthcare of Monett is hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. The event is open to the family members of the residents. There will be prizes and drawings. The healthcare facility is located at 410 W. Benton.

The Pierce City community Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the field located by the south water tower. In case of rain, the hunt will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.

The United Pentecostal Church of Monett, located at Fifth and Cale, will be hosting an egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Age groups will include 2-4 year olds and 5-12 year olds. Other events will include puppets, prizes and a movie entitled "Twas the Night Before Easter," a Veggie Tales movie.

The annual Kings Prairie cemetery association meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at the new Liberty Church, located on Highway Z, southeast of Monett. Contributions for mowing, fencing and upkeep of the cemetery can be mailed to: Kings Prairie Cemetery, c/o Carol Grimm, treasurer, 2468 Farm Road 1120, Monett, MO. The public is invited to attend.

The Verona Elementary School will be holding kindergarten screenings from April 27 through April 28. The Lawrence County Health Department will be at the school on Wednesday, April 27 to update shot records. For more information, call 417-498-6418.

MoDOT crews will close Route T, located three miles south of Route 174 in Lawrence County, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 to replace a drainage pipe. For more information, call 1-888-275-6636.

Cox Monett Hospital will be holding an early pregnancy class from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 in conference room C. The class is for women in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, and the fee is $20. The class is free for women delivering at Cox Monett. Registration is required for all classes. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) will be holding the following blood drives: 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25 at Cedar Hollow Mennonite School in Miller; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27 at St. John's Hospital - Cassville; 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at the VFW Hall in Shell Knob; and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church in Purdy.

Vietnam Veterans Chapter #1023 will meet at 4 p.m. on May 1 at Grant's Restaurant in Monett. For more information, call 1-417-271-3835.

The Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program (MOCHIP) will be at the Monett Masonic Lodge at 501 13th St. on May 7. MOCHIP is a comprehensive child identification and protection program designed to provide families with a proactive means of preparation if the child or teen is missing. The program is provided free. A honor flight poker run, sponsored by Aurora 3948 Eagle Riders, will be held on May 1. Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Aurora Eagles, located at the intersection of Highway K and ZZ, two miles north of Aurora. All proceeds will go toward Ozarks Honor Flight.
