Carthage was first, shooting 315. Olathe was second, recording a 319, and Monett shot a 337, which was good for third.
"Jacob Fair had a great day of golf," said Monett Head Coach Derrek Uhl. "As a team, we beat Carl Junction and Webb City who are both in our district. That was huge for us. Webb City is the team to beat this year, and they are the reining district champs."
Fair was the tournament medalist, shooting a three-under-par 68. Devin Steward recorded an 84. Travis Thompson shot an 86, and Tyler Bass shot a 99.
The Cubs begin district play next Friday at Loma Linda Country Club in Joplin. Groups begin teeing off a 9 a.m.
