The eighth annual Easter Sunday night concert will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 at New Site Baptist Church of Monett, located at 1925 Farm Road 1060. Angel Food Ministry orders for April can be picked up from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 700 Sycamore St. in Monett.

The United Methodist men's breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 22 at Grant's Restaurant. For more information, call 236-2281.

The United Pentecostal Church of Monett, located at Fifth and Cale, will be hosting an egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Age groups will include 2-4 years and 5-12 years. Other events will include puppets, prizes and a movie entitled "Twas the Night Before Easter," a Veggie Tales movie.

The Purdy K-12 Spring Art Show awards evening will be held on Tuesday, April 26 in conjunction with the Purdy Middle School and High School Spring concert, beginning at 7 p.m. in the elementary gymnasium. The art show may be viewed before and after the concert. The artwork is exhibited in the cafeteria hall, library and elementary hall and can be viewed during regular school hours through April 26.

The churches of Shoal Creek Baptist Association will be presenting "The Risen Christ" at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 2650 Oak Ridge Dr. in Neosho, at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. For more information, call 417-451-4763.

The Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program (MOCHIP) will be at the Monett Masonic Lodge at 501 13th St. on May 7. MOCHIP is a comprehensive child identification and protection program designed to provide families with a proactive means of preparation if the child or teen is missing. The program is provided free. A honor flight poker run, sponsored by Aurora 3948 Eagle Riders, will be held on May 1. Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Aurora Eagles, located at the intersection of Highway K and ZZ, two miles north of Aurora. All proceeds will go toward World War II Honor Flight. The Pierce City senior citizens will host a fish fry fundraiser at noon on Friday, April 22 at the senior center, located at 104 Locust. The menu will include fish, potatoes, vegetable, cole slaw and dessert. The cost is $3 for 55 years and over and $4 for under 55. Carry-out is $4, and orders need to be called in at 417-476-5006 before 11:30 a.m.
