Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 4/15/11

Thursday, April 14, 2011

Many farmers have now managed to get most wheat sprayed and much of
their fertilizer spread. Many are trying to get ground worked or corn
planted as attention has turned to grain farming were field conditions
will allow. Hay movement in state is slow but some sales are still taking
place. Many cattle have been turned to grass several producers however are
still trying to reduce inventories of old crop hay. Hay prices are steady.
