Many farmers have now managed to get most wheat sprayed and much of
their fertilizer spread. Many are trying to get ground worked or corn
planted as attention has turned to grain farming were field conditions
will allow. Hay movement in state is slow but some sales are still taking
place. Many cattle have been turned to grass several producers however are
still trying to reduce inventories of old crop hay. Hay prices are steady.
Supply moderate and demand of hay light. Missouri Department of Agriculture

per ton unless specified and on most recent reported sales prices listed
as round bales based generally on 5x6 bales with weights of

Premium quality Alfalfa (RFV170-180) 140.00-160.00
Fair to Good quality Alfalfa (RFV130-170) large round bales 75.00-120.00

bale; 30.00-60.00 per large round bale.
