Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 4/06/11

Receipts:  1200    Last Week:  1103    Last Year:  1290

   Compared to last Wednesday, breaking and boning slaughter cows sold
steady to instances 1.00 lower while lean cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher and
slaughter bulls sold 3.00-5.00 higher. Several dispersals provided a
moderate supply of replacement cows and cow/calf pair. Supply was
heavy demand good for slaughter classes.
