Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 4/08/11

Thursday, April 7, 2011

Much of the state is now getting some small amounts of field work done and
even a very small amount of planting has taken place although many wet
locations still exist. For the hay business this is a time of transition as
most feeding has more or less ended so trucking is slowing down and many are
now preparing hay equipment or trying to get fields that have been too wet
fertilized or sprayed. Hay prices are steady. Supply moderate and demand of
hay light. Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available
for both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for a directory, visit
http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ or for current listings of hay
