Ten Monett High School students, pictured above, competed on Friday for the honor of being named Mr. MHS. The unconventional contest turned the tables on the traditional beauty pageant format and had the men wear dresses, walk the runway, perform in a talent show and a dance-off for the four finalists. Junior Tyler Green won the event. In the front row, from left, are: freshman Chase Brennan and sophomore Kurran Blamey. Second row: senior Pedro Almaraz. Third row: seniors Chance George and Jacques du Plessis; sophomores Devon Overall and Reese Bounous; juniors Travis Thompson and Tyler Green; and freshman Connor Marshall. After the competition, Travis Thompson won the coveted title.
