Pierce City's Robert Baldwin is a man on a mission. The senior completed one part of his stated goals when he reached the 1,000 career points mark during Pierce City's 2011 basketball season.

"I always wanted to reach that magical point total," said Baldwin. "I set several aggressive goals for my basketball career and reaching 1,000 career points was near the top. It feels great."

Baldwin has helped the Eagles reach the semi-finals of the Missouri Class 3, District 12 playoffs.

"Robert is a rare talent," said Pierce City Head Coach Matt Street. "He makes everyone else on the team better. "Unselfish is the word I think best describes his play," said Street. "He often times passes up a shot to dish the ball to an open teammate."

Street also said Baldwin's leadership was an invaluable resource for the team to lean upon.

"I could always count on him to do the right thing, on and off the court," said Street. "We will miss him next season."
