   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher and
slaughter bulls sold 3.00-4.00 higher. Strong slaughter prices along with
high grain prices continue to encourage dairymen to bring their cull dairy
cows to market, as reflected in the receipts today. A majority of the offer-
ing was slaughter cows and slaughter bulls. There was a moderate supply of
bred cows but cow/calf pairs were scarce. Supply and demand were moderate
for slaughter classes.
