Raymond Stapleton, Jr., age 66, of Verona, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 in his home following a lengthy illness.
Raymond was born June 24, 1944 in Shell Knob, Missouri, the son of the late Dale and Margie Stapleton.
He was retired from a family owned cleaning business. Prior to his cleaning business, he worked for 11 years as a butcher at Russ's Supermarket in Purdy, Missouri.
In Raymond's past time he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Sue, and two sons: Larry and his wife, Laurie, of Nixa, Missouri; and Keith and his wife, Hollie, of Aurora, Missouri. He also has three grandchildren: Emily, Ethan, and Elizabeth; four sisters: Mary Swafford, Viola Castle, Janet Hemphill, and Barbara McFarland; and two brothers: Jerry Stapleton, and Jim Stapleton.
He was preceded in death by one son: Steve Brian.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Aurora, Missouri, on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
