Monett City Council members heard concern voiced over plans to revise the city's ordinance on liquor licenses at the February monthly meeting held last night at Monett City Hall.
The proposal calls for changing the city's stricter standard for licensing to match the state standard. The city council would have final say on the issuance of all licenses. At the present time, a church or school within 300 feet of a proposed license holder could veto any application.
