The Eagles led 18-9 at the end of the first quarter and 38-15 at halftime.
"We are getting closer to playing the type of ball that we were before the snow hit. Each game we get a little better," said Pierce City Head Coach Matt Street. "It was a good team win with all 11 players contributing to the win. We need to continue working on our ball pressure in the half court and running our offense. When we begin doing those things again, we will be much better."
On Tuesday, the Eagles defeated Golden City 63-50. Pierce City led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and 24-18 at halftime.
Scoring for Pierce City were: Baldwin, 16 points; Turner, 15 points; Sooter, 12 points; Chapman, Saffer and Fitchpatrick, 6 points; and O'Hara, 2 points.
The Eagles will be in action on Monday at Diamond. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
Pierce City girls
The Pierce City Lady Eagles raced to a 70-15 win over Golden City Tuesday night.
"The girls are playing real well," said Pierce City Head Coach Chelsea Perry. "We are peaking at the right time."
The Lady Eagles led 31-2 after one quarter of play and 44-9 at halftime.
Scoring for Pierce City were: Megan Golubski, 25 points; Krishna Merriman, 11 points; Christine Younker, 9 points; Emily Ashley, 6 points; Maddie Parrigon and Kaelyn Osborn, 5 points; and Mckenzie Moreland, Beth Parrigon, Jenny Velton and Abby Ashley, 2 points apiece.
The Lady Eagles will be in action tonight at Miller. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
