Bird count is up at Roaring River

Roaring River State Park employees completed their annual bird count in January. During tours of the park, staff members counted over 100 more birds living around the trout stream this year.

"The park still offers very natural surroundings for birds," said Tim Smith, park naturalist. "In the winter time, people can visit the park and see many of the different species of birds."
