Ladies searching for the perfect bridal or prom dress won't have far to travel thanks to the organizers of the second annual bridal and prom show, A Formal Affair, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Pate Early Childhood Center in Aurora.
Area business owners will showcase their merchandise and professional services to local women from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Some businesses being showcased include party and wedding venues, wedding and tent rental companies, florists, photographers, caterers, bridal shops, gift shops, hair salons and bakeries.
A total of 19 vendors have already registered for the show, and there is still room for more. Booth spaces are $125 and may be reserved by contacting Margie McCor-mack at email@example.com.
Quincenearas, the coming of age event for members of the Hispanic community, will again be highlighted during a 2 p.m. fashion show. Prom dresses, bridal gowns, tuxedos and children's wear will also be featured.
Admission is $3 at the door with all the proceeds benefitting the GRIP boys home in Verona.
The Formal Affair committee consists of Margie McCormack, Mellissa Bartels-meyer, Norma Julian, Jenny Schulz and Stephanie Doner.
