Mrs. Lenora Rose (Gripka) Campbell, 87, of Monett, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at her home. She was born August 11, 1923 to Albert and Barbara (Korba) Campbell in Aurora, Mo. She united in marriage to Frank Miller February 26, 1946. He preceded her in death 1950. She then married Bernard Campbell April 24, 1954 in Aurora. He also preceded her in death, January 28, 2010.
Lenora lived on her farm for 56 years. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Verona and of the Sacred Heart PCCW.
Lenora is survived by one son: Ronald Campbell of Monett; three daughters: Barbara Brightwell, of Carthage; Carolyn Beard, of Springfield; and Marilyn Ceselski, of Monett; one brother: Charles Gripka, of Aurora; one 'Adopted Daughter' Marsha Wiles, of Nixa and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, as well as one son: Michael; two brothers: Eugene Gripka and Glenn Gripka; and two sisters: Gertrude Gripka and Clara Vermule.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Verona with Father Milton Alvarez officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monett.
