The Purdy Eagles basketball team fell 65-51 to Wheaton Thursday night.
Purdy led 11-10 at the end of the first quarter, but Wheaton outscored the Eagles 22-16 in the second frame to take a 32-28 lead into the break. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs were able to increase their lead to 46-37 by the end of the period.
Cody Hall led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points. Landon Terry and Devon Bennett chipped in 8 points apiece. Drew Williams added 7 points. Garen Nelson contributed 5 points. Kevin Miller finished with 2 points.
Purdy will be in action Tuesday, Dec. 21 at Crane.
