Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 11/24/10

Receipts:  610    Last Week:  1350    Last Year:  335

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold
steady to 1.00 higher. Receipts were light on the day before Thanksgiving
with most cows headed to the packing house. The supply of bred cows and
cow/calf pairs was very light. Supply was light and demand moderate to
good for slaughter classes.
